Auto/On set to ON. Fan runs.

Sounds like the thermostat, the way to verify is to unplug indoor unit, remove thermostat, take pic of wiring with phone or label the wires as to the terminals. Carefully twist the yellow,(Y) Red (R) and the green (G) together. Plug the furnace back in, if the unit operates normally, replace the thermostat. I am basing this on the fact that the blower speed is changing. This could also be an anomaly within the circuit board in the furnace section, not likely though as the outside unit (condenser) is not controlled n by the indoor board unless this is a heat pump. hope this helps. Rheem furnace problem wont stay lit

You need to see what it does. Does it light at all? will the pilot stay on? If lights but wont let you release the knob then thermocouple is bad. I
If it is electric start then watch the series of events. enducer fan motor starts, element heats up, gas lights but shuts off after 1 second. 5 seconds 1 minute and so on. Also your computer board on the furnace will flash a code indicating a problem. count the flashes and read the panel on the furnace for help it should give a description of the the errors.
all depends on the age and type of unit. respond if you have more questions .

Plenum seems to be heating up but blower fan cuts out before it can blow heat through the house

Probably a bad fan/limit. The way it works is the heat comes on first then as the air gets warmer the bi-metal twist around on the fan limit and at around 110f the fan kicks in. If the fan don't kick on then the limit kills the heat so the furnace don't get too hot.
Newer furnaces use a computer board to drive the fan with a timing sequence.

Of course it could be something very simple such as a contaminated flame sensor. If your furnace if one of them fancy new fangled machines which use a draft inducer fan the control may not be sensing ignition and auto cycling on and off. if that is the case get a dry brillo pad and remove the sensor. Give it a good clean and re install it then retry:

Air pro gas furnace model #g8c07512mub11a The combustion fan comes on the igniter glows red the gas fires in the burners for 5 seconds the it shuts down. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would suggest you change the flame sensor. It will be a small diameter probe extending into burner compartment, usually over or inbetween burners. If your furnace is lighting the burners but they won't stay lit That Is what I would do first.. I also would turn thermostat to fan on to make sure you don't have a problem with the fan. Hope this helps you. Thanks

Ruud Silhouette II Fails to Ignite

sounds like you have bad flame sensor or the sensor is in a bad postition. To get eliminate the lockout turn the power off to the unit and back on again. Look at the circuit board light and see what the troubleshooting code is.

Furnace won't kick on

Downstream of your fan discharge there is a little plastic assy. most likely that will have a pickup tube and a piece of vinyl or latex tubing attached. First check to make sure that the pick up tube and/or tubing does not have a restriction. If it is clean use an ohm meter to read resistance across the switch to verify it is operating.

I have an electonic start furnace. Everything kicks on but the heat. It's like the burners won't light up. I don't have a lot of money to fix it so I was wondering if I could somehow trouble shoot the...

yes! The furnace goes through 4--steps for complete run time. Step -1 the small vent fan comes on, and prove it thru the small rubber tube that sucks the switch close and tells the c.b. its turnning, Step 2.. the glow plug glow and 08 seconds later, Step -3 then the gas valve open and dump in gas ,which ignites and heat up the box. and proves it got flame through a flame sensor (pin) sticking in the flame .& Step -4, the box heats up to a predetermined temp. and turn on the fan! thats all. Thank-you-very-much!
