Hi...
There is no need to increase the video memory as it is shared with the main memory. But if you are looking to get a good picture quality out of it that will not happen, for that you have change the video card.

Thanks
Smith

You maybe able to increase the video RAM in the BIOS setting.
The on-board video card uses shared RAM, if you allocate more video RAM then the memory available to the computer/laptop will be reduced by the same amount of RAM, unless you install more RAM.

How to change a video card on a sony vaio laptop

Laptop motherboards have built-in video cards and cannot be changed.
You maybe able to increase the amount of video RAM in the BIOS under the video setting but it will reduce the avail RAM to the laptop by a corresponding amount.

I can not increase my video memory at my bios. It was disabled. How will I do it to increase the memory?

Your video memory cannot be edited via the BIOS. It is changed by upgrading your video card. There is no software method to change your video memory I'm afraid.

Hey there, I have an Acer Aspire 7720. I checked in BIOS (v1.25) that only 8MB video memory is avaliable (out of 2GB), and couldn't change the settings. Could you help me solve the problem please?

dynamically allocated memory is borrowed from the system memory; ie, your GPU is using shared memory. Increasing the allocated VRAM is not going to increase your performance by much simply because this kind of video memory is so slow.

You might want to consider updating your graphics driver and checking your temps to make sure that the GPU isn't overheating.

How to increase the video memory of my laptop

This is done in the BIOS screen. Upon startup of the computer, press the key or key combination the screen tells you to in order to enter the BIOS. Somwhere in there there will be a selection for video memory that you can change. Thanks and please don't forget to give this solution a fixya rating. :c)

Try pressing CTRL-ALT-ESC or F2 during the post. Some models use a software or setup CD to configure the more advanced BIOS settings.

If there's nothing in the bios, then check the intel video driver/management software installed on the laptop. Also consider calling Acer support. They are excellent.

How we can share RAM memory with graphics memory of our PC?

all you have to do is go into the bios, do this by pressing F2 on boot up, when in the bios you need to look for "shared memory" or "graphics memory"
once you have chosen the shared memory you want save settings and exit by pressing F10, the pc will restart and the shared memory will be increased

I need to increase video card memory

you need to upgrade your computer memmory, check first if you have a higher capacity of your memmory. and if you have, go to the bios setting of your computer and checnge the settings of the video sharing. you can increase it up to 256mb shared memory. if you have a 1Gb or 2Gb capacity of your memory.

Limited video shared memory 64mb

Hi icr
You better try to increase the virtual memory of your system as seems you would nt be able to increase the pre allocated video memory to your video device.
The virtual thing you can do by going to the my computer's properties and then in advanced tab you find performance options .Here you can tweak your virtual memory accg to your systtem memory

Waiting for your appreciation
