Liteon LVW 5007 recorder problems

I do not have the manual for the office Liteon LVW 5007 DVD recorder and I am not a mechanical person.I have the cable with the Yellow, red and white connectors and plugged them into the back of the recorder in the "AV Input" plugs. I put the source to "rear" and the TV unit to "AUX" (auxilary, I think) I hit "Record" on the DVD recorder and it goes to "II" (I think this is "pause"). It will not record. Also, when I transfer data from a camcorderhow do I "finalize" the DVD so it will be formatted? I wish there was a techie in the office!

You need to connect the red and white connectors to the audio output in the rear of your unit and your yellow connector to the video output, red on top, next white, and then yellow.  Then go to the rear of your TV and connect these wires (connectors) to the audio and video input of your TV follow the same color code for your input in the back of your TV.  red to red, white to white, and yellow to yellow.  On the setup screen set your video to component.  Your unit should record and play.  Hope this helps.

It is mechanical. You can remove the screws and remove the top case to inspect the inside. You may not be able to fix it yourself but at least you'll get a look inside.
