Thanks for the reply. The ignitors are working. I checked the flow switch and that is working. The gas valve is not opening. Can you specify how to check the gas valve continuity?

    Thanks,

    martin

Has the gas recently been turn off? If so, you may have air in the line. When the ignitor glows, you need to listen for a click. If you hear a click, the gas valve is opening so there should be a gas flow. If there is no click, the ignition control could be bad as it is not relaying the signal to the valve. This would require a volt meter at the valve output to check for 26v. At times, a bad ignitor will glow but have insufficient resistance to ignite.

The next step is to determine voltage from the ignition control o the valve. You need to verify voltage with a meter attached o the yellow wire on the transformer and the orange and then brown wire to the valve.

Furnace problems

On - OK
1 Blink - Ignition failure. Check Gas flow, gas pressure, gas valve, flame sensor.
2 Blinks - Closed pressure switch. Check pressure switch (stuck in closed position).
3 Blinks - Pressure switch - failre to close. Check venter, pressure switch, vent blockage.
4 Blinks - Open limit switch. Main limit or aux limit are open. (My comment - Means overheating in chamber. Often result of blocked intake air. Bad filter. In my case, plastic wrap had been sucked into the intake. )
6 Blinks - False flame sensed. Check sticking gas valve.
Rapid continuous blinking - Incorrect twinning, incorrect primary polarity. Reverse transformer secondary leads, reverse primary wires.

Closed pressure switch can be from dirty combustion vents, bad chamber pressure - like missing screws, maladjusted gas pressure, failing pressure switch, loose hoses, moisture in the hoses or fan blades The switch need to be closed to ge the unit to work

Air energy electric pool heater shows low pressure, low temperature and will not turn on

low pressure will either be gas or water. technician with a manometer can check gas inlet and manifold pressure. ensure adequate water flow from pump. pressure switches generally close at 2psi. you can jump the pressure switch if you think its faulty, or use ohm meter and check continuity of pressure switch

I have an older Catalina spa with acura controls. The tub will no longer heat up. The pump cycles but the heater and light does not come on

These older style controls are easily repaired but require some electrical diagnosis expertise to determine the problem.
1. Check the pressure switch to make sure it is working properly - Use a continuity checker to see if the pressure switch is closed when pump is running. If not then check for proper water flow. Dirty filter, obstruction in plumbing. If flow is good, replace the pressure switch and see if heater works.
2. Check to see if the heater has 220V at the heater terminals when heater circuit is running. If not, then check to see if the heater contactor (relay) is actuating. Check Hi-limit switch, Thermostat and pressure switch for continuity. If heater has voltage, check for current draw, using a clamp style amp meter around on of the heater wires. look for about 20 amps. If voltage is present but no current draw, the heater is bad.
3. The spa light is a completely separate circuit, check the air switch, air line, button and light bulb. Its a 12V AC circuit.

5 year old Laars 25,000 LX won't ignite.

The low pressure indicator is for the gas pressure not the water pressure. The heater won't ignite because it's not getting gas to the igniter. Check gas supply, if okay, check gas connections, valves, etc.

The 1 HP motor should be fine on the jacuzzi.

Goodman GMP075-3 ignition problem

OK, if the furnace is not lighting for even a few seconds, you have either a bad gas valve, bad wire, bad control module or no gas. The pressure switch is not the issue. Check all wires to the gas valve and look for 24 volts across them when the ignitor glows and you hear the click. Then test for 24 volts to ground. It could be a bad ground wire.
