One of the fans are not working. Unfortunatly, HP printers are not the easiest printers to fix. I reccomend having a certified HP technician repair the broken fan. If the printer is still under warranty, contact HP. They will either send someone out to fix it or replace the unit.

Sept 15/11 - Just finished putting in a maint kit into this P3005DN and it's late and it worked in the shop - took it to the user's desk and I get a 57.03 - Didn't help that the error meant nothing to me at that moment - but started to and removed the fuser just in case - 57.03 says a fan is not moving - no access to any fans via the paper path - so I tried to spin both fans, one on either side of the printer - the left side should move - Until a staple fell out and into the 'cup' below the fan - problem solved - no more 57.03 - Take the moment and do some common sense troubleshooting and as usual KISS or MISS and if your have any technical ability, you know what those mean

Got the same message. Turned printer off and on and message reappeared. 2-3 times later, I turned it off for a longer period, then on, and then message was gone.

Error 6502

Dear Asker
how would i know this error is for which printer so i am assuming it's cannon.
Sometimes the Canon printers which use PG-5BK/CL-8 colour cartridges with chips will give error mesaages like 6502 or other types of error meaasge to do with the cartridges, which has the orange light flashing and the printer will not work. Follow this procedure which quite often resets the printer and allows it to resume printing.

When error is indicated, turn power switch off so green light is extinguished.

First hold down resume button and then hold down power button so both are held down at same time

When green light comes on, continue holding down power button and let resume button go, then press resume button twice. Then let power button go.

Then press resume button four times, power button should be releasedbefore doing this.

Wait until printer settles down, if power is off, turn on. If power will not come on, remove power cord from back of printer, then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in again and turn power on. This normally solves the error problem - if not go through same procedure again.

Incidentally, you may find that if the chips had previously been disabled, the low ink warnings are showing againand they will have to be disabled once more. This would indicate that the above procedure clears the firmware memory of the disabling of the chips, this may be usefull if you need some warranty work done on you printer after the chips had been disabled. Canon does warn that disabling the chips may result in the printer's warranty being voided

Hp laserjet 3005 Problem : 49, 2f9d Error Power Off Then On Not able to continue the printing. please give me the solution for this problem.

Hewlett Packard 49.XXXX Errors

I hope this will be of assistance to you, any repairs under taken are at the owners free will.

Hello, the dreaded 49.2F9D Error Turn Power On/Off and other related 49 Errors.

This tip relates to the Hewlett Packard P3005 Series Printer - General reference to most HP Laser Printers

There have been many reports of this error in the HP genre of laser printer. This is a generic fatal error; the root cause is undetermined in most cases. It could be related to an application "corrupt data" or faulty printer firmware, or the formatter board or other associated hardware or accessory. The first step in troubleshooting this error is to isolate the printer from any computer source - disconnect from any I/O ports, Network/USB etc... Power cycle the printer. Does the error still report? If NO then an application may be causing the error, try to isolate the file causing the problem. Clear any pending print jobs. If YES then Firmware/Formatter most are the problem. A new firmware file can be found here. P3005FIRMWARE

Pay close attention to PDF files with embedded JPEG files.

Pay close attention when printing Emails or Web Pages.

In rare circumstances the fuser has been reported to cause the 49.2F9D error. (P3005 specifically)
