Check speaker wire is not grounded and/or the proper impedence is followed. Those amplifiers are 2 ohm stereo stable. Know the difference.

Remove speaker wires and try amplifier.
Add 1 speaker at a time until the problem recreates itself, or test them with an ohm meter.

Amp cycles on and off

Hello it sounds like the amp is going in & out of protection normally the protect light will pulse at the same time but is not always the case if you can get hold of a voltmeter set it to the 20v range & check to see if there is 12v present between the RCA (Phono socket) input & shield, if so then the switch mode power supply transformer is faulty. It could also be a number of problems elsewhere as well so really needs to be inspected by an experienced engineer.

Protection light flashes on and i get nothing

Hello shwoop22,

It sounds like power is shorting out or the amp is defective. With the fuse removed, use a multimeter set to ohms and check between the power terminal to ground.

The protection light will normally come on if the amp overheats (for example when running with too low impedance), or if the speakers are shorted.

Hope this helps.

Amp Power light will not go on. Protection light is lit- Thump sound in speakers

It probably has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page.

My amp is on but the protection light stay's on!!

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If the protect light remains on, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

The most likely reason for it to go into protect is shorted output transistors.

Amp in protection mode

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally (doesn't go into protection), the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
