Try this.
Check if it has the firewire port. If so, you can get a 4 pin firewire cable and connect to the PC.
Switch on the Cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import video from device.

4 pin firewire would look like this:

You can use the Movie maker to burn it to the Disk

How do i download the videos i record to my computer? i pluged in the USB cable and nothing is happing the comp can find any files on the camera??

You have to actually do the transfer from the camera, by using the camera's screen and interface, and then "push" the files to your computer. But in order to transfer the files, the camera has to be on AC power, so you have to remove the battery and hook up the AC cable.

When I plug in my camera to a Windows system it isnt recognized. It says it cant find the drivers. Also I tried to plug it into a MAC OS X machine and nothing happens.

The link below is a direct link to the drivers page for VistaQuest

Scroll down to the Digital Video recorders section. You'll see the DV-7 there. Out to the right you'll see the word Driver - click on it and save the file to your computer (remember where you save it). Once it has finished downloading, run the program to install the drivers. After the drivers are installed, you can then plug the camera into your computer and the computer should find and load the drivers.

Video transfer from sony handycam ccd-trv 308 hi8 to a computer

I have a sony handycam ccd-trv 308 hi8 analog camcorder and I was trying to transfer videos from it to my computer. However, when I plug the S-video cable to the handycam and my computer, nothing happens. Does my computer require a driver to recognize the handycam because I cannot find any in the sites of sony for my handycam's model. Or am I using the wrong wire?

Mt computer with Windows Media, Premiere Pro 1.5, Imagewriter and a few other cannot see my GR-D250. I bought the correct firewire cable, plugged it into the cam and then the comp, nothing, no "new hardware detected", nothing, Screen is open, cam is on Play, blue screen working, nothing. I'm going to my room now.
