Take the phone and have the OS reflash or updated on the phone...take it to your carrier.

Hi there, I hope someone can assist me with this

Sometimes it helps to upgrade your OS ...from say (a)4.2.0.442 to say (b)5.0.0.1015. I was getting tons of uncaught applications on my 9550.I upgraded from (a) to (b) and the problem is gone.Along with battery issues. Can you try that?Your carrier must have OS upgrades for your device on their website.Good luck!

My blackberry curve restarts often on its own

Try a different battery - if that does not solve it, you have a bad BB.
If its less than a year old, or you have cell insurance - you should tell your cell company and ask them to cover the replacement

Dropping calls and rebooting, or the screen going black and needing to have the battery removed and reinserted before it will boot up and work again is a known problem with this model.

It would seem that the unit can use an operating system (OS) upgrade. If you've owned this unit for a long time and have never upgraded the OS, try upgrading it to see if the problem gets resolved.

Go to your service provider's internet site...AT&T, Verizon, ROGERS, BELL etc and look for the support tab for your device...in this case BlackBerry. Surf to the model and see if they have an upgrade to the OS. You can check what your version is by clicking on the OPTIONS (wrench) icon and clicking on ABOUT. You will see the model of your device and a number following a v, ie v4.6.0.282. If your version is older, you'll need to upgrade the device via the DESKTOP MANAGER application that came with the unit when you bought it...or pull the application down from your service provider.

First download and install the updated version on your pc. Next, run the desktop manager application. Connect your BlackBerry via the USB cable to your pc...the desktop manager application should scan the device and notify you that the OS can be upgraded. Follow the prompts to update the OS.

Caution though. If you are not comfortable performing the upgrade, you should be able to call your service provider's customer assistance line and have them walk you through the procedure over the phone.

Good-luck.

Cheers!

As I was updating the software on my BB Curve 8300 the screen on my computer said the BB had been disconnected and now all I have on my BB is a circle with a folder inside it with the number 507 beneath...

Hold down the ALT key, and press right-hand CAP key press the DELETE key aswell together which resets the blackberry . Still if you issue Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and double-click the Application Loader icon. Use the application loader tool to Re install the BlackBerry Device Software.

Thank you

Take the battery cover off. Take your finger and press on the lens area (below the flash) you should hear a "snap". Don;t over do it though.

JVM error 102 on the blackberry

1. Connect your BB to the computer.
2. Run JL_Cmder (JAVA commander, it’s a freeware, google it and download latest one)
3. Choose option 5, wipe the device. This will delete all files - OS and data - from your BB. The BB screen will show JVM Error 507. This means the BB has no files installed.
4. Using Desktop Manager, reinstall your software. When you run the Application Loader, check all the available boxes.
5. When this process completes, restore your most recent
backup file if you have taken in the past!
You should be back to normal, with the exception of having 3rd party apps.

let me know if any problem or have any other questions.
thanks.
Regards,
AJoshi

Applications won't go into blackberry

You haven't said which BB you are using or what you have tried already so I'll give you a general answer - if it doesn't help, please let me know and I will suggest something else.

From your computer, go to either your service provider's web site or to www.blackberry.com and find the most recent software for your BB model. Install the software onto your computer. Then connect your BB. Depending on your model, you may automatically be asked if you want to update your BB. If not, find the icon to update your software (you might be able to just sync the BB with your computer but that doesn't always work). Once you have updated your BB software, you should not have any problem adding new applications. Note that some applications can be downloaded directly to your BB; others have to be downloaded to the BB Desktop Manager on your computer and the uploaded to your BB. The application instructions should tell you which way to do it.

Blackberry Curve is resetting itself for no reason

I had the same problem with mine. It started reseting when I tried to connect wi-fi to my wireless network at home, as soon as I entered my security code. To fix this problem I had to turn off power on blackberry (If you hold power button of blackbery it will power off when it gets to desktop screen let it go and your bb will power off). then turn power off on your wireless router and your bb should turn on. Go to manage connections and turn wi-fi off. Apparently it is a bug in the os. mine works great.
