Normal 0 There are a number of things that can cause the computer or the camera to freeze up.
First I’d check to see how much memory is installed in the computer. It takes additional memory to operate the camera.
Hope this helps. Bud

Hi,
First of all make sure your computer is free from virus..
You can download free stand alone anti virus tool like kaspersky or trend to scan pc.
Also the next step is to check the internet connection.
At times poor bandwidth result with these problems
ok

My video freezes about every 20 seconds i have to keep restarting

Could be a bandwith issue, but also try reinstalling Skype.
Sometimes downgrading to an older Skype version can also help.

Frozen video on calls

Try putting the camera under VFW (Video For Windows) control - it involves a registry edit and can be found here
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger10/webcam/mstacamfix.html
It didnt work for me at first - I had to download the windows amcap as well. VFW doubled my fps
If you open the 'webcam' menu on the webcam picture frame and also open 'Statistics' you can monitor the f/p/s during transmission - Generally try and keep the frames per second above 1.0 fps to prevent freezing. I transmit the 'small image' with my contacts and they zoom up to 200% -all on the webcam frame menu. When you open 'Statistics' you can tell if you are on VFW control - it will say VFW along the lower panel.
I also increased my virtual memory following an error message.
