Converting a .jpeg into a file that can be used to embroider
Hello. We have a baby lock Esante machine, and its a model BLN. We are hoping to be able to convert some picture files (.jpeg or .gif) into files we can use on the machine. is this possible? Do u need to purchase a separate software to accomplish this.. such as the baby lock palette 7.0? Should there have been a disk included with the machine that included a software that accomplishes this?
Thanks for ur help...

You may need to convert files to bit map (bmp)
if bmp doesn't work you can find lots of free downloadable programes that will allow you to convert your jpeg/gif files into other forms. Play with the convertions and you should find one that can be read by your machine. All software you would require should have come with your machine.

The Babylock Esante ESE1 and ESE2 hoops are not compatible with the Esante ESI1 or ESI2 hoops. The Babylock ESI1/2 used the same hoops as the Brother PC7000 and PC7500. The ESE1/2 use the hoops that are compatible with the Brother PC6500 and PE700 series embroidery machines.
I wish that I had better news for you. This site has hoops for sale for both the ESI1 and the ESE1: http://www.allbrands.com/categories/871 . If you need hoops for either machine, use the compatibility data on each machine type to help you find more vendors that may have the embroidery hoops.
Model number of esante? On the back of machine on the silver sticker. BLN, update available Baby Lock Esante Model BLN Update Version 1 03 you will need a computer running XP to do this update. Once done it will talk to newer windows operating systems. No Apple products even with compatibility software
have you checked the power cord to make sure it's inserted correctly into the machine? if it is in the machine correctly, the problem could be the on -off switch or the power cord it would be a good idea to have the machine checked at a sewing machine repair shop
There is manual downloads from the Babylock website, I can't see this model but can see the Esante BLN, take a look, it may well be close enough to get you going. Otherwise you can contact BabyLock using their "Contact Us" page at the bottom of their home page, www.babylock.com.
you need software to trace/convert the image to vector and then to .pes and then you will need a blank (compatible brother/babylock) card and card reader box to transfer the file to and insert the card into the machine to emborider it.
If yo need images converted email me the image and i can convert it to an embrodery file for small fee.
