Question about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
After using the burner, I'll turn it off but it continues to stay on. I have to unplug the stove from the outlet in order to get it to turn off. If I plug it back in, the burner turns on again. I checked the dial, and it works fine mechanically. I am pretty sure it's an electrical problem but I'm not sure where to start!
Its probably the switch for that element, the contacts are fused. If this is a smooth top ceramic stove then the control relay board relay for that element is stuck.

Hi Teresa Rhodes- Smith -Try reprogramming the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repairs and to refrain from using the unit. The range could possibly be experiencing a communication error with the EOC, wiring failure, or faulty element sensor/switch.
