The pin inside the charger port might be broken.
Look in the hole where you put the USB (on the device) there should be a tiny flat tongue sitting in the middle, if it's bent and touching the inside of the hole, it will need repairing. It's a very common fault.
You might be able to temporarily fix it yourself by trying to straighten it with a tooth pick. It's supposed to slot inside the micro USB plug.
First thing to do is try another charger, if that does not work then you need to repair the jack on the main board or get a new main board. They are not easy to repair.

Use a small needle and gently insert in into the "reset" hole on the back cover on the left side. Hold it down for 5 seconds then release. Try restarting your tablet. If you know someone with a charger you could use, you should first plug their charger into your unit to see if it works, if not, plug your charger into their unit.
