Question about Canon PIXMA MX700 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Error 5100 repeated

Error 5100 first appeared due to pwer failure, and I corrected it with several different strategies, for example asking for a scan work instead of printing, that usually worked and re-set it. However, now it failed during printing and I can not get it to work at all. I tries to scan and then the scanning task is cancelled automatically.

Also, i have tried to align the printing and i keep on having problems, the lines are broken in some cases and the only time it prints ok is when I do texts and I use small type (palatino 10 for example)

Please help !!!

Hi! try other remedy. for example, placing the usb connection behind your cpu instead on the front, if still didn't work out, try to uninstall your printer driver then reinstall it, then restart. the broken line that you've seen and the reason why it doesn't print smaller font size is due to 1. low ink 2. the nozzle was clog (better clean it) 3. it needs replacement of cartridge to a new one. don't panic, relax, okay?

I'm getting the message system failure with the error code 010030 034c085a on my HP 5500 PS printer...42 in. Does anyone now what it means

Maybe the power in your location has an issue.

System Error: 010030 034c095e
Problem
Description:
This error code appears when the power supply detects a low spike
(e.g. due to a temporary loss of tension). There is nothing wrong
with the Printer.
Corrective Action: Re-boot the Printer and the error code should not appear again.
NOTE If the error code appears again, try connecting the Printer to a
different power socket.

Hi, I believe this error occurs when there is no 24 volt supply to the PCB. Go back and check you have plugged all the connectors back in correctly.

I get error 0c00400000020c

System Error: 0C0040
Problem
Description:
Error in Printhead Drop Detection. This error code appears when the
Printer detects that the same area of nozzles do not work in different
Printheads. The possible causes are either fibres or a piece of paper
in the Drop Detector or that the Scan-Axis reference is incorrect.
Corrective Action: Try the following:
Manually recover the Printheads and check whether the error still appears.
If the error does appear again, then check that there no fibres or pieces of paper in the Drop Detector.
If the error does not appear again, then check that the Scan-Axis
stop of the Carriage is not deformed too much (some slight
deformation of upto 0.5mm is normal, but if it is bigger than that,
then replace the Carriage Assembly and recalibrate the Printer).
If the Scan-Axis is OK also, then replace the Drop Detector or the Service Station Assembly and recalibrate the Printer.

Cannon Pixma ip90 printer mechanical failure code 5100. Printer works for about 2 inches then stops with failure code 5100

The error 5100 actually means nothing. You need to look at the printers green and orange lights. they will be flashing in a certain sequence. Count the way the lamps flash ie.Green are mechanical faults and orange are operator correctable faults. When you have the info repost and i will help you further.

Error 5100 appears on lcd when turning it on. How do I fix?

Try removing and reseating the ink cartridges. If that does not work try replacing the cartridges with genuine Canon ink cartridges. This should alleviate your issue as error 5100 is due to cartridge failure of some sort.
