- TV Screen went almost totally black, if I stand really close I can get a faint outline of program - only 12 mth old - poor warranty and nothing available in Canada. Disconnect power supply, no change - disconnected cable no change - all other features of the unit sound, am/fm/clock work fine.- Guest

I have a similar problem however the sound does work. I can see a faint outline of the tv show I am trying to watch however I suspect that there is a small fluorescent light within that screen that has blown. I had a similar problem with an old camcorder I have. This unit is only 9 moths old. Not impressed with the 90 day warranty either. I suggest you take it in to those fix it places that repair camcorders and they may be able to direct you.

No sound or light on any channel may mean the TV is unplugged. Check you electrical connections. If the electrical connections are good, try disconnecting the cable from the television and tune to a local channel (CBC, CFTO, etc.). If you still have nothing, the TV is likely at fault.

This is a very simple device. A lot of times (if the picture tube isn't bad and your getting light from the screen) make sure the unit is not in AV mode, there is a switch on it. Besides that, try adjusting the horizontal and vertical alignment on the back of the unit.

picture comes on slowly then slides down , with vertical lines showing.have gone through manual reset to fact. defaults. sound is ok still.very dissapointed in flat tvs if they only last 16 mo.do i fix a 500 $ tv???

i have a blank screen. i have sound to radio but none to tv. all bands are going through,but the tv will not come on.

Our tv just stopped working, no picture, but there is sound. It was a bit gradual, in that it had a very dim picture, then went black.
It is 13 motnhs old, does not get a lot of use and never gets the screen moved up.
I am not impressed with the 135.00 to send it to Audiovox for repair, either, with no depot in the area for repair. We live in Canada, so returning it to New York will be problematic, as well. My husband is an Electronic Technologist, but with no schematic, this too can be problematic.

I just purchased ACN-53292
I assembled and plugged into outlet and the back of my VCR turned on VCR
I only have light on my monitor.
I put both on the same channel and still nothing.
I set my tv to dvd and the symbol displays but nothing else
