I am unable to upload my pictures from the memory stick.

I have owned this camera for 6 years and have never had a problem with it. I took about 45 pictures in NYC last Sunday and when I tried removing them from the memory stick and putting them onto my laptop I am having an issue. As soon as I connect the USB cable and turn the camera on some type of Autoplay screen pops up and seems to create a series of gimmerish charachters and such in the file folder. I go to My Computer and click on my Sony Memory Stick, then the file folder and literally instead of seeing my pictures, I am seeing weird cryptic charachters. Please Help!!

I sugest a usb card reader. they are much easier to use and don't involve the camera in downloading.

How do you upload pictures on the internal memory?

If you normally upload your pictures by connecting via the USB port, remove the memory stick before connecting the camera to the computer. If you normally upload your pictures by putting the memory stick into a card reader, use the camera's memory stick tool to copy the pictures from internal memory to memory stick.

Need to put Pictures from Camera onto Memory Card

Hi there. Here is how you do it. Go into the menu and navigate to the Copy screen. Choose an option. One is to copy pictures from the camera's internal memory to the SD card, and the other is copy from the SD card to the camera's internal memory. Then press OK. On the next screen, you have two option choices, either copy all images, or selected images. Hope that helps.

Uploading pictures on PC

This one is easy. Buy a memory card reader and do not use the camera usb cord. A card reader will always be the easiest way to transfer photos from memory stick to PC.

No pixs

make sure the camera is saving to the SDMMC memory stick and not just to the camera itself. Might be best to try it out on your own computer or a friends to make sure it is saving the pictures correctly or not just to the cameras internal memory. As the card you pull out is generally considered an external memory source and in most cases has to be selected as the destination in which to save to.

thanks,

Memory card - not saving pictures

I have a Cobra camera (I believe it is an 8500) and when I use it without the memory card, it will take pictures. As soon as I put the memory card in, I can't use it. It says I need to digitalize my camera. I put in the date, time, year. Can't take pictures...
