Question about HP LaserJet 4200n Printer
HI, I service these printers frequently but recently came upon one that intermittently prints a 1 inch horizontal black area across the top the page. I suspect that it has to do with uneven voltage going to the toner cartridge's primary charge roller since it's sometimes mottled gray instead of solid black. I already changed out the toner and checked the transfer roller contacts in the printer. Another tech mentioned to me that these 4200 series printer have had problems with the LVPS. Before I change out the LVPS i'd like to know if any other techs that visit here have had any problems similar to this one. Thanks in advance,Scott
Before replacing the LVPS, I surely would replace the toner and transfer roller at same time.
