Do u mean upgrade software or upgrade card.
upgrade software ....goto device manager locate hardware...update driver(you may find you already have the latest drivers and cannot upgrade, cos there isnt an upgrade)
upgrade card is to replace/change card requiring a little knolledge of disassembly.

SOURCE: vid card upgrade for r580 jbb2

Unfortunately - I can not find any option on the Samsung website that would allow you to upgrade the graphics card in this computer. It appears that the graphics are built onto the motherboard. This is pretty typical with a lot of laptops out there.

I want to upgrade my video card, what type should i use?

Hello

It depends on the motherboard and what is compatible with it.

Most newer,meaning last 5 to 7 yrs..motherboards have a pci express slot.

So a pci express 16 type vid card would be a place to start.Nvidia, and Ati Are the two top cards on the market.Price range is from $70 to $500 dollars.

If your doing alot of gaming or heavy graphics then get a 512mb or 1gig vid card.

Consult with your pc manufacturer before you buy one.It really is bad to get one and find out you cant use it.Save the recipt.

Need to upgrade driver for video card

Which card is it?

Type the manufacturer and the card details into "google", or, even simpler, go to your vid card manufacturers web site, and look for "Help & Support". It should have updates for your old drivers there.

Good Luck

Need new vid card

The Compaq s3200nx comes with integrated video; Via KM266 graphics. It has:
Available slotsTwo PCI
AGP4x 1.5v
AGP is for Video but nothing else and it must be 4v. PCI is for all types of cards including Video.

You can get a PCI Video card with more memory on it than your current video.
You must verify your monitor connection. Is it VGA? or DVI? Make sure the card has the right type of connection.

Upgrades and advice!!!!!

2GB is the maximum amount of ram you can install in your Dimension 2400. Depending on how much ram you have in it now,.. you could get a substantial speed difference by upgrading. You can upgrade the video card if you want. If you want to upgrade to 2 GB and upgrade to a decent vid card,.. you are looking at about $180 for parts. you will need to determine if that is something you want to put into the 2400 or buy a new computer with substantial speed and performance difference for about $500 from Dell. If you have any further questions, please post a comment here and I will answer them for you.

Powerspec 8650. what type graphics card fits it? computer keeps shutting down while playing certain games on facebook. extra memory hasn't helped, so i think i need to upgrade my graphics card, just am not...

This card is listed for the model below yours.

Graphics Controller
  • Type AGP 4x - Plug-in card
  • Graphics Processor / Vendor NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 200

  • I would be looking for other causes of shut down such as overheating.
Check that all fans are working and clean. Ensure all case openings / grilles are also clear.

If you want to upgrade the vid card you can only get one with AGP 4X
NOT 8X which most are now.

    GeForce 8400 upgrade problem

I would try two things: One pull the GeF 8400 out and boot as you normally did, install the drivers for the 8400. Then reinsert the Vid Card (8400) and when it looks for driver viola... If that fails:
Second if you can get in at all try the old F8 key on the boot up...and see if you can get in using SAFE MODE...and install your drivers from that point. Assuming the second set fails update the video driver using device manager.
    That's a great vid card...good luck..leave a rating please.

    Installing a pcie vid card

as for the pcie slot you need to enter the startup setup and choose the graphics card that your computer uses which is mainly the "integrated periferals" menu, then choose that the pcie card is your primary graphice card or simply disable your older card.
