TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.( If you load your bobbin case from the left side, the needle rule is normally FLAT to the RIGHT is RIGHT. There are some exceptions. If you have a newer style drop in bobbin or your bobbin case loads in the front then the rule is FLAT to the BACK.

SOURCE: Brother Sewing Machine model:CS8150 bobbin thread problems

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.

What do you mean you are unable to pull the bobbin thread through, elaboration would help solve the problem...
I suspect I'm having the same problem with you if it's anything to do with the top thread looping around in the bobbin holder.

Damn machine!

SOURCE: need help to thread our sewing machine.

you really must get a manual for this machine.
You can find manuals online for a small price.
At one time some sites had them for free, but I haven't been able to find many recently. sewusa.com has some older ones for free. but not many. you could try the kenmore site as well, if not I'd try to search on dogpile.com (sewing machine manuals)
Just so you know, your manual is the MOST important tool for any sewing machine, and its worth a couple of bucks to get it.

How to thread my Jones 781 sewing machine

I can't find threading info for your machine, but your Jones looks a lot like a Kenmore. The threading should be very similar:

Your machine is similar to a lot that were made from about the late 1960's through the 1980's.

How to thread wernard st james sewing machine

If you look at the photo below of the St. James, you can probably see the thread path. Your machine would thread very similarly. Or look at some threading diagrams for pre-computerized Singer sewing machines.

Thread my sewing macine

There is a site that has a manual for this machine for sale. Site is here : http://sewingonline.co.uk/jones-brother-manuals-2.html

Threading most machines is not hard, if you have a pic of the front of the machine, fairly close up, I could probably tell you how to thread it. But having the manual is always a good thing.
