Question about Black & Decker Pivot Plus Cordless Drill/Screwdriver

Black & Decker Pivot Plus

My Black and Decker Pivot Plus cordless drill won't charge. Had one previously and thought the battery was bad, but after I bought a new one I think I found out it was the charger instead(could not get a replacement battery) Seems I may have the same problem again Thoughts?

I have only used this on a couple of small projects. I had to borrow a friend's drill to finish the second one because my drill petered out. I've tried charging it but I only hear a hum when I press the power button and the device doesn't move/rotate.

Does this mean I need a new battery - only after using the device a couple times?

I have the same problem. The AC adapter does not get warm which means it's the adapter or the connection to the battery or the battery itself that's the problem.

I'm thinking of getting another adapter to see if it charges.

How old is the tool? Batterys have so many recharging cycles before they go dormant. If you take the batterys and charger to a DeWalt Service Center usually they wont charge to test both of these for you. Let me know If I can help

Power is low. How to charge it?

The pivot has to be in the straight position and the charger plugs in the joint (it's hidden in the bent position)
