I have recently acqired a Brewmatic diplomat II Model # 1030581 & don't know how to use it. Don't know how it works or how to make coffee. Is there a way to find out?

my first response would be to say that you need to put 8 oz. less water in - but that's the obvious and somewhat comical solution. But here's what you need to do:
Take the top cover off (1 std. screw on top) and pull the brown water tray out. turn the unit on its side and clean the heating elements! You most likely have huge calcium deposits in the water tank. Scrape the elements but be careful not to bend the thin wires leading out of the tank (they're paperclip thin and will break if bent back and forth.
After cleaning the elements and tank, remove the drip spout (turn counter clockwise to unscrew) and clean, then clean the red tube hose in the center by pushing a wire (coat hangar thick) down through the middle.
Reassemble and pour two, almost full, pots of water into the tank, this is the default level needed to start brewing. When you pour your third pot in, that is the amount of coffee you will get minus whatever your filter soaks up. Hope this helps - good luck!

Hello
First, use a paperclip to clear the injector from which water is delivered into the K-cup. The injector looks like a short, thick injection needle in the centre of head assembly. Simply lift the lever, remove any K-cup and look at the roof of housing.
Second, decalcify the internal tank. There is an internal tank in addition to the external tank that we put water into. Put decalcifier or vinegar (undiluted) in the external tank and run 3 brew cycles. THEN, leave the machine on for FOUR hours while the decalcifier works on the internal tank. Then put fresh water in the outer tank and run cycles until clear.
