-   same problem, can't install quickbooks 2005 because of flashplayer 7 being unavailable
open the disk file where qb is and look at 3rd party files
then click flash 7 and ignore when it says error
then the darn thing will install no other solution listed works !
but this just did
I had the same problem (2005 not loading flash) - the solution that worked was above:
"open the disk file where qb is and look at 3rd party files then click flash 7 and ignore when it says error then the darn thing will install no other solution listed works ! but this just did"
and the only think I would add: restart after the flash 7 manual install.
then retry the set up within the QB file.
G'luck
I have been going nuts with this all night. Same issue, errors on instal of flash player 7. I did all the previous suggestions. Nothing worked until I installed Internet Explorer 6 located in the 3rd party folder on the install CD.. WHammmm it now installs straight of the CD autostart.
Thanks for the help.. Hope this helps you all too!!!!
Had the same problem... You need to install Flash 7 manually (you can find downloads online, just Google for it) - then install Qucikbooks 5 manually from the CD: Open [yourCDdriveletter]\QBooks and execute the QuickBooks.msi file. Worked fine for me.

I just installed Quickbooks Pro 2009 and am trying to view the tutorials. Every time I try to open a tutorial, QB tells me I need to download the macromedia flash player. Which I have successfully done directly from the given link. Intuit and Adobe support are both less than helpful! Please help!
