You may have a virus on the hard drive of your computer. Run an antivirus scan of your hard drive to remove any unwanted viruses. You can download free virus protection. Web search "Microsoft Security Essentials".
Internet pop-ups can be an annoyance. These windows are usually associated with different forms of advertisements and at times can include viruses that can infect the computer. Pop-ups do not have to be a part of computer use if the user does not desire this distraction. There are ways to stop pop-ups and prevent them from appearing unless desired. Pop-up blocker allows the user to block these items and select which items to allow.
Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools" from the menu bar. Tools can be found on the bar that lists "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help" directly beneath the address bar. Click "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. Click the "Privacy" tab in the "Internet Options" box. Click to check the box that says "Turn on pop-up blocker" in the "Pop-up Blocker" section of the menu. Click "Apply" to save changes. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" box. The computer will now block all pop-ups from websites. If downloading items from the Web, the computer will ask whether you would like to allow these items to be opened. Hope this helps.
The easiest way to store web addresses would be adding them to bookmarks. To add a bookmark just click the star on the left of the url bar.
To delete web adresses go to file and history. There should be an option for deleting history. Select that and remove any websites you do not want stored in your history.
Note: These web addresses will not show up in the drop down in the url bar after deletion
K9 Web Protection is a software installed on your computer to block certain images or websites. It is a Parental Control software that manages website, images, text contents to be blocked on a computer.
In order for you to get rid of the block, you will need to disable the K9 software or to uninstall it completely.
Software Installation : Installing more and more software can make the computer slow down. The reasons for that are that installation of a software will make entries in registry and that is somewhat bad. The software may be running in the startup. The software will install various files on the computer and an overloaded hard disk makes the computer slow.
Free up disk space : Try to keep your hard disk space free. You’ll always notice that a computer with free space on hard disk will always run much faster than the one which is loaded with extra stuff. * Remove Unwanted Items From Startup : Well, if you’ll remove the unwanted softwares from the startup then your computer will boot up much faster and the memory (RAM) will also remain free and thus that will again result in better computing experience
Run hard disk maintenance utilities : Always run the utilities like Disk Defragmentation or Disk checking utilities regularly, around once in 2 weeks
Run Registry Cleaner : Right, this one is related to first tip. In case you’ve already installed and uninstalled various softwares before reading this tutorial then you can go ahead and run various registry cleaning softwares
When doing a website. You have to own web space. A place owned by you either by your ISP provider, or space purchased through www.networksolutions.net.
Creating a website is one thing, but you have to upload it to a webserver which is owned by you.
A lot of people buy web space or like mentioned above, are given web space by your Internet Provider. If your internet provider does offer free web space with an account with them, find out where the space is, what your log in information is, and what the "ftp" server name is or what the htpp:// information is. They will provide you with that information. Once you have that information, and you click publish, there will be a screen come up where you will have to fill in the information and submit.
