I have had the same problem with my Mogul and now with Pro Touch. Not sure if it's Sprint, HTC, Windows Mobil or GoDaddy. Everyone seems to blame the other guy. One recommended fix was to set up gmail which is easy and have your godaddy mail routed to that account and all works but if your EMail is secure or confidential ???????????

I'm in the same boat. I was also told to set up a gmail account, by my email is used for my business (ex: Me@mybusiness.com) and don't think it would look very professional to have emails sent from a gmail account, besides being confusing to my customers. Nobody seems to be willing to help. ARG!

I have been having the same issue sending GoDaddy email via SprintPCS on an HTC Touch phone for the past 45 days. I have tried using the smtp.sprintpcs.com email settings and it will work (from time to time) not always, but it also changes the Header of the email sent to show the SprintPCS email address. Not the business email address. So beware if you use decide to use those settings.

I FINALLY GOT THE ANSWER! I ALSO HAVE A GODADDY EMAIL ADDRESS AND USE A HTC TOUCH PHONE FROM SPRINT. I've entered the following settings and my email now works like a charm! This is for a POP3 email address, not an IMAP email address.

You cannot send the email unless you have a sprint email address. Email must go through the Sprint server in order to be sent (incoming mail does not).

Call Sprint Tier II (877.345.7895) and ask them to set you up with a User Name and Password for the outgoing mail server. All the rest of the settings are as follows:

EMAIL SET UP Email Address: You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Your Password: the password you use to access your go daddy account Check SAVE PASSWORD Click NEXT UNCLICK TRY TO GET EMAIL SETTINGS AUTOMATICALLY FROM THE INTERNET. Click NEXT. Your Email Provider: Internet Email Click Next Your Name: Dales Wife Account Display Name: 'GoDaddy Email" or whatever you'd like to call it so you can identify this account (you can have several email accounts sent to your phone). Click NEXT Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Account Type: POP3 Click NEXT User Name: Again enter You@YourGoDaddyDomain.com Password: Enter your password again Check SAVE PASSWORD Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.sprintpcs.com CHECK Outgoing server requires authentication UNCHECK Use the same user name and password for sending email Advanced Server Settings: DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Incoming e-mail DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail Click DONE to return to previous screen Click NEXT Outgoing Server Login: TheNameGivenToYou@sprintpcs.com Password: When you call Sprint Tier II they will ask you what password you'd like. Check Save Password. Automatic Send/Receive: I use every 5 minutes and it doesn't seem to run my battery down. Click FINISH. This has been driving me crazy for two months now so I really hope this information helps somebody else out. Best of luck! NOW, if anyone knows how to remove those annoying envelopes when I access my mail - I could use the help. There are three envelopes there (one for GoDaddy mail, one for Outlook and one for Picture Mail.) I do not use Outlook or Picture Mail and would love it if I could remove those.

Thanks! If you have another email address from your home internet provider, you can use the SMTP address, user name & password from that service instead. That worked for me & I didn't have to mess with customer service.
Appreciate your help!

Am unable to send outgoing/incoming yahoo.co.in mails from my samsung gts5253 mobile

you will need to check the WAP and Email setup settings with your service providers, you can also go the the Email setup wizard and enter the following settings.

Yahoo Mail offers standard POP3 access for receiving emails incoming through your Yahoo mailbox, by using your favorite email client software. To setup your email client for working with your Yahoo account, you need to select the POP3 protocol and use the following mail server settings:
Yahoo Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465)
Yahoo Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995)

I am using Godaddy's webmail service for my 6 of domains. I was getting lot of spam junk emails and I was blocking each of them. I have websites, and customers fills out online reservations forms online...

Hello there,

How did you block some emails? Was it through your web hosting control panel? Or through your webmail itself? You just need simple troubleshooting to figure out what has been causing this problem. First, ask someone with a .com domain email address to send out a test email using his or her personal email client and not through the reservation form and see if you get the email. If yes, then there must be a problem with your mail form configuration and not with godaddy's. But if you are not still able to receive the test message, create a test email account and then ask them to send test message again. If you are able to receive it, then you have a problem with that particular account and might need to recreate it.

If you need further assistance, just let me know. Thank you for using FixYa.

The issue is: Unable to Send/Receive emails from winThe host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port:...

You are receiving this error because of one of two reasons:
1) Your email account is not set up properly. Click on Microsoft Outlook, click on Tools, then Accounts. You will see a window with columns stating Account-Type-Connection. If an account is set up then click on it then click on Properties. Click server tab and you will see the SMTP server block and the POP3 server block. Both of these fields will read as follows: pop.XXXXX.net and smtp.XXXXX.net. Your Internet Service Providers name will be in the XXXX. If these are not set up properly then you cannot connect to send email. If they are filled out correctly then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and inform them of your situation. Their server is not working properly.

Don't forget to 4 star this solution.

Can not send e-mail

Have you made any changes to your pop3 server?. Look at your option in outlook it is under accounts. And check to make sure the server setup is right for your email. Most times the mail server and pop server are the same. Like
incoming pop3 (server whatever.com)
outgoing smtp( server whatever.com)

Email

Which ever application you use (let me know specifically), you will almost always choose creating a POP account. You need from your service providers the following items.
  1. SMTP domain (ie. smtp.domain.com)
  2. POP domain (ie. pop.domain.com)
  3. Username to your email (ie. username@domain.com)
  4. Password for this account.
Your ISP will most likely have instructions about how to connect to them. If you go to their support and type in POP3 with Outlook or Outlook Express. You'll most likely get a hit.

In Outlook, go to Tools | Account Settings | Email to add the accounts.

Hope this helpa, if it does, please choose FixYa!

ThankYa!

Email set up

you can, if you have an internet connection to your phone and a pop3 and smtp account on your email.

On jam, go to messaging >Accounts>Outlook E-Mail>Account>New Account...>Enter your e-mail Address: >next>next>Your Name>Username (Put your email login username)> Password (Your E-mail Password)>Account Type (POP3 is OK)>incoming mail (pop3 address, for gmail ,its pop.gmail.com)>Outgoing Mail (smtp server, like smtp.gmail.com)>Domain (if any)>finish.

then to connect, Accounts>connect.
