SanDisk Cruzer Every time I plug- in my SanDisk Cruzer micro 16GB won't do anything. My computer does detect it, but when I open it shows nothing, Compleatly Empty. All the data that was already in the SandDisk when I bought it is gone as well. The thing is it was working fine

Check the drive on other PC which has as updated virus protector, if it works then clean it from there or re-format it. then use it on your computer, be sure you must have a virus protector on your computer.

otherwise your drive gone bad.

Try a different USB device on each of the USB ports on your computer.
Hopefully, all your USB ports are working correctly.

Try a different USB port on your computer.
Hopefully, the SanDisk will be detected on one of the ports.

Try a USB port on a different computer.
If the SanDisk still is not detected, then spend $10 to buy a new 4GB flash-drive.

From the SanDisk website it says Win2000 and WinXP certified. It says nothing about Win7. try it in a different pc with Xp and see if it works. If it does then it is not compatible with Win7

My SanDisk Cruzer Micro 2.0 MB does not show up on my computer as a volume which I can fill. It shows up as a removable drive and wants me to insert a disk. When I took it back to Radio shack it seemed to...

Just to make sure, try connecting it into another computer (but not in Radio Shack), if the device gets detected by another computer, then you need to try enabling the USB Legacy Support of your computer.

But if the other computer does not detect it, then you need to take it back to Radio Shack and verify with them if there's any additional driver or firmware upgrade that would help you to detect the SanDisk.

Have a good day!

SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB USB plugged it, light on, but shows an empty file in windows with capacity of 0bytes Also shows a CD drive (the one that U3 runs) which says nothing is in disk drive.

It is likely an issue with the filesystem. The FAT filesystem gets easily corrupted. If that's the case, reformatting it with FAT32 should help. But remember - reformatting erases all the data, so don't do it if you have anything important on the drive!

I have a cruzer micro 4gb sandisk peen drive but it has not detecated by my laptop so what should i do?

Actually, your laptop hasn't detected your flash drive. Please make sure all of your software on the computer is completely up to date. Next, try plugging the flash drive into a different computer to see if it shows up. If it doesn't show up on a different computer, then try formatting it. Once formatted, try again. There is a possibility that the flash drive has gone bad, but just take things one step at a time.

Can't open my sandisk cruzer 16gb

Dont worry about being prompted, that is an OS option and you may of turned off by accident. When you insert the flash drive into your USB port, does th elight on the drive ligh up? If not your flash drive may of gone bad.

If it does light up, click on "My Computer" and see if it shows up there.
