Question about Hitachi 42HDS69 42 in. Plasma Television

Open Question

Hitachi P50X01 Plasma TV - subtitles won't appear for one channel

There is a special button for subtitles, but it is not working for a particular channel (SBS in Sydney). The same channel does come with subtitles on my other TVs, and other channels are still working. This happened problem appeared after I tried setting up a HDMI DVD player, and probably fiddled around with the setup.

I have tried going into the subtitles option through the Teletext menu too, and it doesn't work that way either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: subtitles cut off on new hdtv

I called customer service, and although I had to wait a long time, I was able to talk to a representative who solved the problem for me. On my Panasonic remote, I clicked on "Format", and I discovered that I could adjust the screen using the various formats which are displayed.

Cannot view channel 9 in Sydney, particularly in this wet weather. Picture ok in dry weather. All other channels good picture.

You have a issue with the service providing signal--water or moisture in a line or connection somewhere.

Hi I have a Toshiba CT-90326 Television. How do I disable the Audio Description on it? Thank you

Hello Clare,

CT-90326 is actually the model number of the remote control rather than the TV. It doesn't really matter as the correct button on the remote is more relevant than the actual TV.

The Audio description is a feature of the closed-caption/subtitle settings on your TV. You should be able to switch off the audio description by pressing the "SUBTITLE" button on the top row of the remote control. Each time you press this button it will cycle between ON and OFF.

If this doesn't work, it's probably because you are using a cable/satellite/digital receiver. If this is the case, look for a button on your cable/satellite/digital receiver remote control marked "CC" "CCD", "SUBTITLE".

Please try the above and then reply to me from within this page. Please state the model number of the TV and any cable/satellite/digital receiver you are using if/when replying.

Thanks,
BElectric

No sbs didital channel coming up

You first need to ensure if you have any SBS digital signals in your area. I take it that you are in Australia. Go to this website for more info. If this is not what you are looking for let me know.

http://www20.sbs.com.au/transmissions/

http://www20.sbs.com.au/transmissions/index.php?pid=1

If you have received SBS signals before and now you aren't there may be a setting on your tv that changed the component input from SBS to something else. Check to make sure the component inputs that the signal is coming in on is selected on the tv. I sure hope this helps you. If not, give me a little more info and maybe I can help a little more.
