This you need to contact the reseller or the store. He will be able to help you with the information. By default the user name is Admin and the password is blank and you should be allowed to work with it. Else there is something which the store should seriously help you on.
If you have not changed the default username and password then you can use admin as username and password.
If you have set your own username and password and forgot then you have to reset the switch to load from default.
To reset the switch Please press the tiny black button at the back/beneath of the 8 port switch and keep pressing for 2 minutes. The switch sys light will start blinking slowly and then rapidly. then release the button and wait for 2 minutes to switch to boot up with factory default settings.
Please be aware the if u reset the switch you will loose all your configuration and you have to reconfigure the switch.
you didnt state the cameras were IP addressable...are they? brand of camera, and which security DVR you were using. Most DVRs wont or dont use the router as it doesnt rotate or change the picture, but I dont know which one you have. Most instead they use a multiplexer .
This device only a switch and there's really no reset button for this and there's also no configuration on this device its just a passthrough of internet access if you have a router that's the one that you can reset and also your modem..
