Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
I have a A105-S1014 that I've had almost 3 years. About two months ago, I noticed that I was getting lines and a blurry screen. I would tap on the top of the screen and it would clear up. About two weeks ago, the screen would start to freeze. I would have to tap it harder, and then it would come back for a little while and then do it again. I wasn't sure what was going on with it, so I assumed the screen was going bad. I got one on Ebay and replaced it, only to find the new screen didn't fix it. If I put my fingers about 3 finger-tips on each side of center, and push in, and pull on the screen with the other fingers, it clears right up. When I talked to someone, they said it might be the LCD inverter, however the screen is bright no matter whether it works or not. Could I have a short in the ribbon LCD cable that goes to the LCD screen? Any other ideas?
