You can use Kohler cast iron kitchen sink cleaner, available on line, Jacuzzi recommends warm water, mild non-abrasive liquid soap for everyday cleaning and Barkeepers Friend or Zud for tougher stains. No Abrasives whatsoever. like Comet etc.
New sink, its 2011 and its done its service to its country.Nice Kohler cast iron drop in is the way to go.Most peoples issues with sinks are abrasive cleaners ,even softscrub,it takes the finish off of all types of plumbing fixtures, cast iron- fiberglass- stainless etc.I tell people not to use anything you wouldn't use on your car finish Elkay makes some nice stainless sinks.Top of the line, let jacuzzi stick to whirlpools
Denatured alcohol is only necessary for cleaning stains which are difficult to remove from your quartz sink, such as ink, oil-based stains or paints, etc. These stains should be dealt with immediately by scrubbing with a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol (undiluted).
Expecially difficult stains can also be dealt with by filling the sink with a highly diluted organic cleaner such as bleach and let stand overnight, however this method only recommended for well ventilated areas for obvious reasons.
Normal day-to-day cleaning can be managed with warm water, a liquid detergent and a soft cloth.
The best thing to use and the safest for the finsh is, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Just wet it and squeeze out the excess water and LIGHTLY rub the stained area until it is gone.
Be sure to rub lightly, as you don't want to remove anything but the stains. If you keep rubbing after the stain is gone, it is possible to start affecting the finish on the sink. You'd really have to rub pretty hard to do that, but some folks go overboard when trying to get stains off things
I've been using the Magic Eraser around our house for years and it's great at keeping the textured fridge handle clean and alot easier than anything else we've tried!
Rinse after every use. Sanatize with Bleach once a month. Use a soft cloth or sponge and liquid soap to remove residue. Scratches can be buffed and polished with a liquid based auto polish to maintain High Gloss finish. Do not use abrasive cleaners which will dull the finish. If you have used the sink in a non-normal usage and stained it, it can not be repaired under most circumstances. If you have not voided the warranty, you may be eligible for a replacement from the company.
