Question about Dell LATITUDE D400 D500 D505 D600 D800 INSPIRON 8500/ 8600/9100/ 00R116 CD-ROM Drive
My Dell Latitute D400 all of a sudden turn off by itself while I am working on. When I try to turn it on, there was no response from the machine, only power light blinking and then off again. I've checked the adaptor, it was ok, the light is ON on the adaptor. I also try to without battery, direct from the AC adaptor, still the same, no response and i can not hear any sound like HDD, or blower and things like that. I have no idea anymore.
Thank you for your answer.
Its overheating, you will have to check the heatsink if the filters on the end are blocked stopping air flow, and if the thermal grease on the processor is not totally dry.
