I have the same issue. I have the same printer, brand new and as soon as I turn it on it makes a load crunchy noise and the screen reads:

"Error. Paper Jam. Clear Jam. Press OK to continue."

    Any ideas?

I just bought this printer, and it keeps telling me there is a paper jam! There is no paper in it!

My ESP 5 also says "paper jam," even though there is no paper in it. I appreciate the advice. I am going to call technical support when the call center opens in a few minutes. I did not save my receipt from where I purchased it though. I hope that will not prevent me from being eligible to receive a new printer.

I have the same problem, believe it or not, I am about to get my 5th Kodak ESP printer in less than 3 months, They (the service reps) don't seem to have any answer for this problem and now that I see this site, I see it is a problem for many out there.
They just keep sending me new ones and pretty much say "good luck this time". I am sure many are as frustrated as I am.
I need my printer, not excuses.

My esp 5 gave me this same message. I'm not an expert but here is what worked for me.

I turned off and disconnected both cables (usb and power) then reconnected and turned on.
At this point it still read paper jam, so I took ink cartridges out and paper out.
I then reinstalled ink cartridges and PULLED OUT THE PAPER TRAY to it's FULL capacity, added about 5 sheets of paper, and on the main menu I chose the allignment function and printed a test page and suddenly....no jam!
Hope this works for someone. For some reason pulling the tray all the way out cleared the "jam" message for me. Now if I could just get the new ink cart to work I'd be all set! Good Luck!

We have a sp 3250 all in one printer. We had a paper jam. We removed the paper jam and now the printer is telling us that there is still a paper jam. Please tell me what to do next. Thank you.

It is just sensing as if you haven't yet removed the jam. So, while switched on, keep pressing the load or toner or cancel buttons on top. Also make sure you cleared the printing queue that was instructed when the paper jammed.

Error code 3528 keeps coming up,telling me to remove back cover and remove paper jam then replace back cover.there is no paper jam, checked printer heads no paper anywhere?

I have this printed and if you read (carefully) through the manual it tells you it doesn't like single sheets of paper. If ever my paper feeder tray runs below say 3 sheets then this error will crop up so keep it topped up with paper. The same goes for photo paper too.

I have a ESP5 printer. There is an error message that says I have a paper jam, but I cannot find any paper.

A Piece of Paper may be in there. Find out it by replacing Catridge. Off the printer switch, See inside, out the paper from tray. Then keep it one by one.On Printer

  1. Remove the paper tray.
  2. Disconnect the power cord, wait 5 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.
NOTE: The printer will reset and eject the paper. If the paper does not eject, try to remove it manually.
  3. Replace the paper tray.
  4. Press the Print button on the printer to resume printing.
