Question about Compaq Evo N610C Notebook
I have a Compaq Evo N600c. I recently replaced both batteries (Primary and secondary/Multibay). With the old batteries the secondary battery discharged first, then the primary battery then the system alarmed and turned off. With the new batteries, the Primary battery discharges first then the system turns off, even though the secondary battery is fully charged (ie. the secondary battery's power is not used). If I remove the (now dead)primary battery and reboot then the system comes up using the secondary battery 9ie. it's power availability is then recognized). If I leave the (nw dead) Primary battery in the system will not start. At all times the Compaq Power Manager shows the correct state of charge of both batteries (ie both full when both full) - so the system can "see" the full secondary battery, it just doesn't use it if the Primary battery is in place
Click start/control panel/power options.
(In control panel, you may have to change to classic view to see power options)
You should see the batteries listed.
You should now be able to click on each one and adjust the settings and advance settings to whatever you like.
