Make sure theres no corrosion on the screws and terminals. if that dosent do it open the amp look for loose wires and re solder. ps make sure ur wires are hooked to the amp properly

Subs made funny noise than lost complete power to the amp?

Could be many problems too hard to explain unless you are there. Here are somethings that can help you:
1. settings need to be tweaked up or down on amp.
2. check fuses if amp has no power at all. sometimes power protect comes on and you only need to reset by turning on and off car or shuting down radio and restarting.
3.If this is a new set up then you have a bad amp/speaker combo

Still having amp problems

Hello lilmario,

After eliminating wiring problems and possible shorts, grounds and low impedance in the speakers, most likely the amp is failing internally. A partial failure of either the output MOSFET's or the thermistor. In either case, the repair requires removal and replacement of components on the circuit board. Depending of the age and original cost of the amp, such repairs are sometimes expensive.

I'd recommend having a professional audio shop test the amp and provide an estimate for repair.

Hope this helps.

Kicker amp zx1500.1

first off if this is a new amp take it back if there is a warrenty.. opening or even turning the external screws void the warrenty. the internal caps and resisters cost only pennies but i would have to suggest that you take it in to be repaired if you dont know what your doing..

it sounds lik you have either a loose wire where they hook up or a bad electrical part on the inside. i would check your connections first.

Power issues

It sounds like you are drawing to many amps and you need to go to a higher capacity altinator and a second battery would be a good idea as well. Start your car (do it at night makes it easier to tell) turn on your headlights without your stereo on look at head lights and see how bright they are then slowly turn stereo on and up if headlights dim you are drawing to many amps and need a higher capacity alt to charge and stop you from blowing them, and second battery with and isolator so you don't draw amps from the battery that starts your car.

Amp not turning on

wouldn't be the first JL amp I saw fried...but there are some tests you can do. First of all, double check your fuses, they may appear to be fine, but sometimes they are blown even if you can't see it. Either blindly change them or test them for continuity with a digital multimeter. Also, disconnect the remote turnon and jump power directly over from the power wire to the remote terminal on the amp, if the amp powers on then you have to go double check your remote wire. Hope this helps.
