    DELL INSPIRON E1505 Problem
No, it has no power at all so nothing else shows besides blinking green lights just to the left of the power button. Showing dell logo means it booted but it is far from that. If I remove my finger that it the lights stop blinking and nothing else happens.

I appreciate your follow up and hope it could be resolved. I took it to my college IT professionals and they said it was strange. The blamed the mother board but I told them once the lap tops boots up after 3 minutes or so delay, it works fine for ever. At the problem does not occur when I shut it down and restart in about an hour. It is a cold start issue I believe.

2 lights blink on key board 4 times in a row and start over, blinking. the only other thing that lights up is the on button and all lights on that row. screen is black and i get nothing else.( some one...

Start taking your laptop apart piece by piece and test it after each removed component:
1. Remove the hard drive and test the laptop.
2. Remove the DVD drive and test the laptop.
3. Remove the wireless card and test the laptop.
4. Unplug the display panel from the motherboard/video card and test the laptop.
Continue taking it apart until you have only three major components connected: motherboard (with video card), processor, and memory. If you still experience the same problem, most likely it's bad motherboard.
By the way, before you start, try reconnecting the memory module. If you have two modules installed, try removing them one by one and test the laptop with each one separately.

Why does the battery light keep flashing?

The battery is failing to recharge itself.
Contact Dell -- a battery should last longer than that.

My Dell laptop d600 suddenly shut off and will not power back up....led light on adapter blinks when plugged in...I have tried re-inserting RAM modules but this or nothing else seems to work.. thank you...

Unplug your battery and then plug in AC adaptor and see if laptop powers on. I assume you power button doesnt turn on at all? If so, your motherboard seems to have a power issue. Unfortunately, you have to replace motherboard. If laptop. powers on withour battery then you then battery needs replacement.

My lap top was droped by a teacher. it just blinks power button

Ouch! Try removing the battery, and reinstalling it, also take out hard drive and do the same. also do the memory the same way. Might have knocked them loose on the drop. Good Luck.

Icons and Start tool bar disappearing every few seconds

Sounds like the explorer.exe process might be restarting. Open Task manager and keep refreshing the processes to see if explorer.exe disappears/re-appears.

Lap top will not power on

There are a few things that can cause this. Start by removing the battery and starting on AC only. Then remove the memory and try each chip separately. If these aren't the problem, then I'm afraid the power management system or another component on the motherboard may have failed. You will need to take it in for a professional diagnostics.
