Partner mail VS main voicemail message

Hi- I am trying to figure out how to change the main voicemail greeting that people get when they first call in to our number and no one picks up. it's not in any of the regular extensions and for the life of me I can't find how to access it. We have Partner mail VS release 5. I've been all over the administrator settings (extension 99) and also extension 10 and nothing. Any help you can give would be amazing- thanks!

I have the same problem, but we are using Release 4. We are not given an option 3, so it appears we have no way to get in to access and change the main greeting that people hear when they first call in to our business. What do we have to do to get access to the main greeting to change it and update the extension list of our employees?

    Thanks in advance!

Dial into voicemail
99#
1234# (default pswd)
option 3 is for Auto Attendatns
Will ask for the Auto Attendant Number (1-4)
Will ask if you want Day (1) or Night (2)
Will ask if you want to Listen (2) or Modify (6) MODIFY
You will be prompted to enter a "selector code" when finished entering selector codes, "Press *#"

just press STAR(*) POUND(#)
At this point you will be at the recording menu, just recording a greeting. MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM by pressing STAR(*) POUND(#)

    Hi-
have Partner Mail VS 1. Have tried above but after 99# and PW, the only options are "5 to change password" and " *T to transfer to another extension". If I press "3" per above comment it says " Invalid entry". I've tried this form Extension 10, 11, and all others. Please help- need to change the "main VM people here when they call in before they have to press an extension. Have spent hours on this.

I have the same problem, except in Partner Mail #3...when I pick a selector code(assuming it could be any # from 1-9) and enter my new greeting number. I am asked to modify, I select 9 then it asks me to enter the same info again. This happens over and over..please help!

The part your missing is pressing 9 after 99# password #. It doesn't tell you about the option (it only tells you about 5 to change the password or to transfer to another ext. press *8)
Then press 3 for greetings and so on.

Right, but to get to the Admin area, you need to log into the system administrators mailbox. That will need to be reset before you can change the AA greeting.

You can contact dstech1.com, they will reset for $55 (with a credit card). Or you can call Avaya, they will reset for $300

Need to change main greeting and wipe out an old unknown password

Start here for the Auto Attendant greeting. http://dstech1.com/changing-the-greeting-on-voicemail/

Once you figure out what voicemail this is, you will need to go into Voicemail Admin Programming to re-initialize the password for an extension.
