This is probably a security code or also called a 'user code'.
You can reset this code by the solution from www.unlocksamsungonline.com (just by unlocking you will unlock the phone and reset usercode to all zero's) you can also try a free reset code: *2767*3855# (without sim) but then you loose all userdata and it might not work.
