Is there anyway I can find a driver that will allow my Macbook, with Leopard OS, to print to the HP G85xi printer? Seems that all the information I've been seeing indicate that this can't be done -- neither HP nor Apple care

You may need to install the updated printer driver for Snow Leopard. Go to the HP site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=219&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1146331
Click the first link HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers - Mac OS X v10.6 On the subsequent page, click the download link, when prompted SAVE to your desktop or downloads folder. Then locate the downloaded file and doubleclick and run the setup. Once that's complete, go to System Preferences, click Print & Fax, click the + sign in the left column if you don't see your printer listed there. Follow the steps to add the printer.
I just upgraded to snow leopard and my previous driver was erased, so I did some digging around and found the right driver (it is not included even in the most recent GutenPrint software).
Look at the Global Samsung website - the US Samsung site does not support MacOS drivers.
Your OS should ask to install Rosetta to read the file (Zip), but then the install is quick and easy. The printer driver immediately showed up in the printer>setup>driver menu. Prints without a hitch.
Haven't booted my laptop into 64bit kernel, so I don't know if the driver is 64bit compatible - I expect not. Hope this helps.
