Question about Kitchen Ranges
Just bought a Whirlpool gas range and it will not ignite. Top burners will ignite along with the top broiler. However, the bake and convection oven features will not ignite. You can her the sparker spart 3 times and then stop. This process repeats about every 2-3 mintues but the oven does not heat up. Tried unplugging range for 10 minutes and then plug back in. Tried to heat oven again and it does not work.
natural gas or propane? is this a brand new stove? or did this just start happening? is the gas shut off at the oven turned on? there are saftey features that shut off the gas so you dont get hurt. be carfull

SOURCE: No Bake; everything else works
Hi, When you put the oven on bake, can you see the ignitor glowing but get no flame?
Sound like the ignitor might be getting weak and not opening the gas valve. Please let me know if this sounds like the problem.
It is common for the ignitor to go bad. Even if it glows, it can be bad.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

The problem you have is that the ignitor is bad that lights the burner for the oven. You will need to replace it.
Check out this tip that I wrote a bout this...
