Mine had a similar problem. Fan was running, but no water was flowing. I turned off unit then banged on the solenoid a couple of times and wiggled all wires, then turned to test mode, heard click and water flowed. But when I dialed off of test mode and set to setting #5, water shut off and when dialed back to test mode a second time, no water flowed and no click was heard. I even turned off the whole furnace and the humidified controller, then turned furnace back on, waited and turned controller to test mode, but nothing...Now it get no water and no click when I turn it to test mode.

Water is flowing from the water heater to the solenoid (disconnected line and verified). Water is able to flow through the outlet tube (I've verified there is no obstruction). Hear click when I turn up the humidistat, but no water flows. Turn it down and it clicks again so I know it's cycling correctly. No water is flowing through the solenoid.

Could also be a clogged filter or orifice. take input line off solonoid and check.clean filter, blow thru orifice. clean with small needle or buy new one.

Humidifier doesn't work

Hello, if there is water to the solenoid valve but not passing through it than the solenoid valve is malfunctioning and must be replaced. However, if there is no water at the solenoid valve then either the saddle valve or supply line is clogged with sediment. A easy way to chek the solenoid valve is apply power directy to the solenoid valve from the transformer, if it does not open then replace it.

Will the water only come on going thru the water solenoid only when it calls for water? Or is it suppose to come on at all times when furnace comes on?

The water should come thru the solenoid valve when the furnace's blower motor turns on, and turn off when the blower motor turns off.
