There should be no reason to get inside the unit to replace hte vent, generally the ventingis replaced form the outlet behind the dryer , the inner span of metal never needs replacing

Check behind the dryer to make sure the tube running to the exit vent isn't clogged or blocked. Then go out side where the vent runs to and make sure it isn't clogged.

I have a front load Kenmore dryer HE2 that seems to be getting very hot...only in the inside. You can really feel it more than normal when you open up the door

Your exhaust is plugged. Start your dryer go outside to the vent and feel for air coming out. If no air or just a little is coming out, check your exhaust tubing. Make sure you check the outside vent.

My kenmore elite mod. # 110.67062600 keeps flashing af

It is due to low air flow (AF),clean the vent tube out. The easiest thing to do is disconnect the vent and run the dryer, the AF will not be displayed, you can take the back top panel off an on the inside is a sheet with codes and how to take apart your dryer, as you have lint inside the dryer as well and should be cleaned out at least twice a year, varies on usage. Hope this helps Tim

Dryer takes too long, removed the vent and it works great

Your vent is clogged up. Clean out the vent tube going out the wall and inside the dryer if you are able to.

Heat does not go on and stay on clothes tumble but are still damp they never completely dry in 70 min.

sounds like a venting problem, check vent tube for restrictions, you can take the tube off and run the dryer, should have hot air blowing out, if you do then it is the vent tube if not then you will have to clean the inside of the dry out with a vacuum. Good Luck Tim

My Kenmore Elite dryer works except there is no heat to dry.I am looking for suggestions to repair. Thanks

There is a moister sensor in your dryer that detects any lint build up inside the exhaust vents. If any obstruction is inside the exhaust tubes this sensor will put the heat in the check mode. Inspect and clean thoroughly and see if it will heat up again

No heat

If lint is clogged inside the vent tubes that will cause the no heat problem, A moister sensor shuts down the burner for this reason. If the vents are clear the sensor is faulty. If no click is heard upon starting the dryer the spark ignitor is faulty too

if this is a kenmore or whirlpool, roper, kitchenaid dryer than you will only see the element glow if you look inside the dryer.if you see a glow at the vent hose, you nead to shut the dryer down, unglug the dryer and remove the vent hose and clean it out from the dryer to the vent outlet outside.

Kenmore 800 dryer burning smell and noise.

that doesnt seem right about the connection to anything if you are hearing like a humming noise you have a bad motor  its pretty challanging to fix it if you havent done it before
the bottom panel has two clips in the upper part about 3 inches from each side you have to kind of pry them  if you look at it you'll see exactly how they work once you take that panel off ou'll be able to see the tubing of the inside of the dryer
sorry if i didnt help too much  if got questions please feel free to reply
