Question about Creative Labs Muvo V100 MP3 Player

Open Question

MuVo V100 does not talk to my PC

After I plug the MP3 to my laptop and try to look "inside" with explorer I get the following warning:

"Windows - Delayed write failed. Unable to save all the data for the file E: The data has been lost. This error maybe caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

When I tried running chkdsk e: I got a lot of parameters that were in need of repairs but I still can't see what is in the MP3. I can't access it, I can't load music, not even with the MuVo software or any other music software. It will just not allow me to put new music in it or take old stuff out or anything at all... PLEASE! somebody help me with this. Thanks!

My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in July 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V100 Firmware 1.05.01.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Bought a Creative Muvo V100 2GB MP3 player for my daughter for christmas. The pretty pink one. She loves it but now it is stuck on the please wait mode whenever you turn it on, and I can not turn it off...

you prob need to format it.

To format a MuVo/ZEN (Flash) player, connect it to a USB port on your PC. Open the Windows Explorer, and locate the Removable Drive listing and right click on it. Select Format, and choose FAT instead of FAT32 or NTFS. After the formatting is complete, make sure that you stop your player before disconnecting it from your PC.

Problem with my muvo v100 2GB

you may have already done this, but try pluggin it on another pc and see if it recognizes it, if it does. then your computer may have problem.

after "connecting it" go to device manager and see if your device shows there.

check if there is any software that came with the mp3 player. and install if there is .
