SOURCE: our coby portable DVD player

It sounds if maybe there is a problem with the laser inside of the dvd player. It is nothing that can be fixed unless under warranty by the manufacturer.

When I insert a DVD I hear a rattling wabble sound. The movie never plays

Unless you have another disc or something else jammed in there I would say it is a sure sign of a defective transport. Probably a 100 dollar repair.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

My GC-821 pink mp3 player says ''no file'' after I synced my music (from windows media player). But it plays the music back to me on windows media player. Help!

Do NOT open the "RECORD" folder and put your music in it.
Put you music in the folder that opens. the "RECORD" folder is NOT for you to put music into. It is for you to get your .WAV recordings out of.

Ohhhhh, now you get it!!!!

Wrong region

check with another dvd you know the region.
check same dvd on another (not region 2) player and see if itsn't working.
find if you have to follow special instruction to activate the "all region"feature.
find on line instructions do remove the region lock.
confirm make /model/ sn where you bought it and I can help to find instruction.

Can I turn off the soundtrack?

i don't think thats possible. what you are hearing is the 'mixed' track.
to hear the unmixed tracks (there may be 2 or 3 in all) you wld have to play the dvd using an editing software on a computer where all the audio tracks can be seen separately and one or some or all can be turned off / turned down, etc.
