Press and hold the my cycles button and the back button simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will reset the control panel and allow you to see any stored errors.

Wont rinse or spin

I think your washer's drive belt has broken, Joanne. You'll need to have someone replace it. That's a pretty easy fix, but they'll need to know your washer's model number before they arrive so they can bring the correct belt to fit it.

Samsung DV210AGW/XAA Dryer, drum wont turn nor heat up

hi all, thanks for your comments. to note, it's my dryer not my washer so the suggested solutions wont work. Also, forgot to note, the unit is only 14 months old and just out of warranty. What I've done so far:
- vacuumed the filter
- striped the dryer, meaning removed top. front and small exhaust panel in the back
- vacuumed everything
- checked the belt, tight, not loose, broken or off the roles
- child safty not enguaged, toggled it anyway to be safe
- the checked micro switch next to belt by motor, not engaged
put it all back, turned on with nothing, tried every setting in auto and manual tied high to low temps and times, the time is noted, such as 40 min, but does not time down, over time, the unit sound the I'm done tone, if left as is, continues to chime then end like it did something. all along, the drum never rotated nor did it heat up.
Does one impact the other, such as if the drum does not roll then the heater wont start or vise-a-versa. Could the control panel have taken a hit or are there sensors that might have shut down to prevent the unit from starting are there fuse's that I didn't see that might have been tripped.

When the unit is not turned on, can you manually rotate and turn the drum yourself? If so, do you notice any resistance or hear anything rubbing/thumping?

Push start button and nothing happens, just as if the unit was unplugged

first you need to check and make sure that the breaker or fuse isnt tripped. sometimes you have to turn it all of the way off and then back on. you probably have already checked this.
if the lid switch is defective, the washer may not work at all. you usually have to open the top or front panel to get to the switch. the switch is usually tested for continuity to see if it's faulty or not. if it's visibly messed up, that's a good sign. some have a habit of slamming the door, and that will speed up the demise of the switch.
some machines have a special lid switch fuse near the switch itself or inside the control panel . if fuse blows, unit wont fill with water until replaced.
hope that you found any of this helpful
thanks

I noticed yellow oil under my Hoover 550m. It workes fine, but now and then it makes a strange noises in the spin cycle.Should i get someone to service it?

If your noticeing the yellow oil around the inside of the cabinet located about 4-6 inches up and the oil continues around the entire bottom of the unit. This is usually a sign that your transmission is starting to have some issues and leaking the oil that is inside of the transmission out as the unit spins. where are you noticeing this yellow oil on your unit? If you see this type of oil residue as I described In the location that i described above then your unit is soon to be in need of a new transmission. In the appliance repair world we term this oil ring described as the ring of death for the unit unless you wanted to install a new transmission into the unit I await your reply and further clarification on where this yellow ring of oil is that you are seeing. Thanks
Rick

I want to unlock my door

Manually Unlocking the Door Lock System
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Remove the lower kick panel. 3. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit. 4. Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab. 5. Gently pull the tab down about a ¼" or until a click is heard. 6. The door may be opened.

I HAVE A FISHER AND PAYKEL TOP LOADER MODEL GW609 - Wont Power Up I have managed to access the error code and 3 Lights are on and the Unit beeps continually every second. Can anyone please help to tell me...

you could have a jammed power or sart\pause button, these quite often get corrosion on the PCB and then the switches fail ON, if you can turn the machine on it is not dead, it can be repaired but you might want to get a technician in to reapair PCB. Also it would be helpful to know what lights light up when in error mode.

right could be your belt, casrbon brushes if the motor has these which you will notice they will have a wire going to a small plastic part on either side of your motor it will have 2 of these if these are worn down to about 8ml they need replacing if your washer does not have carbon brushes than it will have a small circuit board called a module if this is faulty sometimes cheaper to replace your washer
