  1. If you have only just installed Windows Genuine Advantage notifications, simply using the system restore function will remove the program. Then refuse to accept the WGA update next time Windows updates... Otherwise, proceed as detailed below. (NOTE: If you try these steps while you are in "Safe Mode," step #8 is unnecessary).
  2. First Try the Following:
  3. - Open a CMD Line Window by Clicking on Start ==>Run ==> type CMD and Press OK.
  4. - Change Directory into the System32 Folder (Like Cd c:\Windows\System32)
  5. - Open a notepad Window and type the following lines:
  6. taskkill -IM wgatray.exe
  7. del wgatray.exe
  8. del wgalogon.dll
  9. - Highlight and copy to the Clipboard the three lines above
  10. - now Paste the the contents of the Clipboard to the CMD Window
  11. This should kill the wgatray.exe Process from the Taskbar and imediately delete both files wgatray.exe and wgalogon.dll without the need to to go through all steps bellow.
  12. If that does not work, then continue and follow the steps bellow
  13. Open System32 by either A or B of the following methods:

    • a) how do i get off the icon off my disktop(genuine - syst32runok.pngClick "Start", "Run", then type-in "System32". Click "Okay".
    • b) Find System32 manually by clicking "Start" > "My Computer" > "(X:)" (Replacing "X" with the drive letter of the host of Windows) > "Windows" > "System32".

  14. In "System32", go to "Tools" > "Folder options" > click on the tab, "View" > Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Now you can begin...
  15. Check to make sure the window that comes up has a full screen of various files. The files are in alphabetical order, which makes it easier to locate the specific file.
  16. wgarenme.pngFind "WgaLogon.dll" and rename it "WgaLogon.dll.bak".
  17. Create an empty copy of WgaLogon.dll:

    • crtebnkwga.pngRight click on a blank space in System32 and select "New" > "Text Document".
    • Leave the text document empty and label it "WgaLogon.dll". Press Enter (on your keyboahow do i get off the icon off my disktop(genuine - wgawanignoyeas.pngh_mi"> wgawanignoyeas.pngYou may get a warning from the above step that says, "If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?". Click "Yes" on this warning.
  18. Be ready to complete the next two steps very quickly! Find "WgaTray.exe" in "System32" and delete it. You will then have 5 seconds to find "WgaTray.exe" in the Task Manager (the next step). NOTE: If you remove the files mentioned abovhow do i get off the icon off my disktop(genuine - tskenproctb.png in "Safe Mode," step #8 is unnecessary.
  19. tskenproctb.pngImmediately open Task Manager. You can do this by pressing the Ctrl, Shift, and Esc keys simultaneously, pressing the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys simultaneously, or right clicking the Taskbar and selecting "Task Manager". Click on the process tab and click end process when "WgaTray.exe" is selected. Note: If you take longer, do NOT panic! All that will happen is that "WgaTray.exe" will keep reapearing in the processes list (i.e. you won't be able to delete it as required). To remove the notifications after this, return to system32. You will find two files:"WgaLogon.dll.bak" (the one you renamed) and an Application Extension (0KB) called "WgaLogon.dll". Delete the Application Extension, rename "WgaLogon.dll.bak" to "WgaLogon.dll" and repeat the steps from the fifth one onwards (at a greater speed!!).
  20. Restart your computer once you have finished. All the notification messages should be gone.

This copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation occurs on my desktop please solve my problem

Hello everyone

Windows genuine advantage notification is Microsoft way of punishing people using pirated copy of windows xp. Therefore, if your computer always shows you that you may be a victim of software counterfeiting, its right and you need to go and buy a genuine windows xp.

Windows genuine advantage notification occurs after you have updated your computer on the internet. Microsoft always runs a script that always checks for windows license . If your computer does not pass the test, that is when you are notified.

If your version of Windows XP is not genuine and does not pass windows genuine validation, you will not be able to download security patches from Windows Update, or install the latest version of Internet Explorer 7 and 8 and other software.
Firstly, you have to terminate the process form running on your computer secondly you have to change the name of the files that are running the process. Then change your desktop back to what you where using before.

OK This is How do solve it
notification message that this windows is not the genuine one

Right click on your task bar, click on task manager, click process tab look for the process with the name "wgatray.exe" right click on it and click end process tree, a warning message will appear click yes, the process will be terminated.
Secondly double click on my computer, double click drive C: double click windows folder, double click system 32 folder, look for two files, "wgatray.exe". When you locate the file, right click on the file and rename them to whatever you want.
Then restart your computer. Your computer should be in good state now.

IF your solution fix your problem give me thumbs

Sir, ask for genuine microsoft you may be a victim of counter the copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation?? s

It means that the windows that you are not currently using is not genuine, as for genuine windows, you have to purchase it, it also depends upon, like, if your pc was offered with a copy of genuine version of operating system or not, genuine operating systems are offered with a few branded desktops and laptops and otherwise if its an assembled system you have to purchase it from a software store which sells genuine softwares.

My computer prompt me that my OS is ingenuine, what should i do?

If your computer shows that the os is not genuine, that means the os is a victim of software counterfeit. You can check it by right clicking on My Computer - Properties. Check Windows Activation option, if it says windows is not activated, then truly the os is not genuine. In that case you need to contact with your os vendor, or you can report Microsoft, about it - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/genuine.

Start Menu And Desktop Icons Are Gone The start menu and desktop icons are gone. When I right click on the desktop nothing happens. I have to do things with the task manager only! How do I get them...

Heya

First of all Start up menu and desktop icon doesn't appears because explorer.exe doesn't loads properly which is a system component file mandatory for the computer to load...Now the solution:-

Press CTRL+ALT+DEL simultaneously ONLY when you don't see any icons or the start up menu
Windows TASK MANAGER will appear.
Now click on FILE top left corner>>>NEW>>Type explorer.exe>>Click OK or enter

You will be able to see all the icons

Now the Software Counterfeiting problem..This happens when your copy of windows doesn't pass the Genuine test..Now this doesn't mean that the copy which your using is not genuine.Even if its not genuine i.e. pirated..there's a common solution for it.
Click on the following link to download and install WGA remover which will remove the Software Counterfeiting problem..

I cant see anything on my computer disktop it doesnt show any icons just only shows desktop wallpaper? how to resolve it

Hi, sounds like your operating system has encountered a problem. You can restore your system to a previous time before the problem occured, by booting into safe mode. To do this press the ESC or Del key during initial boot fase and select boot in safe mode. If this does not work your other option could be to do a system restore, by placing your operating system into the cd driver.

You should take your computer back to where you purchased it and let them fix it ... or you should go to the vendor that you purchased your legit copy of Windows from and tell them you need a legit key ... or you can purchase a legit key from Microsoft. Try this site to download crack for genuine windows validation:

or if it really worst and your computer is lock by the program then you can re install your operating system then after you finished installing your new Operationf System then diable the Automatic Updates  by accessing to your control panel then click Security Center then Automatic Updates and click diable or turn off Automatic Updates. In that way you can prevent your computer from downloading Updates from Microsoft and prevent downloads of other Windows validation program.

My computer is showing black screen on window

That is Microsoft's "Windows Genuine Advantage" tool telling you that you have an illegal copy of Windows. You have a couple ways to fix this.
1. Pay Microsoft for a new product key.
2. Remove the Windows Genuine Advantage tool.
3. Contact Microsoft and participate in their Genuine Microsoft Software program.

this is just a warning that your copy of windows is not genuine, like a copied CD of a genuine CD copy. Don't worry, nothing can happen to you. it's just letting you know windows is not a genuine copy.
