Question about Lexmark E232 Laser Printer
The original problem was that the printer would not properly pick up paper, & the jam light came on almost immediately (The paper was bent into a horseshoe, but did not pass the first roller) I found no stray paper anywhere in the system, but I gave the red lever a few flicks in case the rollers it controlled were sticking. When I go to print the test sheet now, the "Out of Paper" light comes on. The printer performs perfectly in manual feed mode.
I had exactly the same problem. It is caused by the paper feed rollers becoming shiny and failing to get a grip on the paper. The cure is easy. Disconnect the cables, remove the paper tray and turn the printer upside down. Carefully peel off the two rubber 'tyres' on the ends of the feed roller, turn them inside out, and refit them. Reassemble the printer and it should work perfectly. Obviously, you can only do this once......!
