E04 => E04 Ink Overflow
If the Overflow sensor detects excessive ink in the Squeegee • If the sensor detects excessive Overflow ink in the Squeegee
unit.
Remove excess ink from the Drum.
You must clean the cylinder, clean the ink (sensor ) and remove the excess ink on one side and / or along the sides of the cylinder.

Saeco error codes


I don't think this is the case. The E04 code is about lubrication of the brew group. This is directly from Saeco support in Germany. However, the problem does persist. It seems to be an issue of poor design more than anything else.

E04 Error


E04 is a time out on the heating phase, to confirm this run a cold cycle, if the machine completes the cycle but sticks on any program above 40 degrees, best bet it's a faulty heating element.

If your standing facing the back of the machine, you will need to change the top right fan that cools the IH,power supp. there are two fans which need to be replaced, the other fan is behind the sc pcb but that will give a different error.
