My 2001 toyota tacoma truck heater stopped blowing heat.  The blower still works though.

Same problem, (when I started the project) I found that one of the air diversion doors in the heater core airbox was stripped out, the link had broken clean off. That messed up the whole system for the other doors to work. I took the entire dash apart tonite, and will hopefully find another door in a junkyard this week. The old one came out without haveing to comepletly remove the heater core. The new one should go in with just as much swearing. But as I put the instrument cluster back on so I could drive to work, the tach, heat guage, and blower fan all crapped out. I can't find a fuse that covers all three. Anybody have a clue what I might have messed up? Any feedback would be great.

Heater blows warm not hot. Just replaced the blend doors.Temp gauge shows 195-200.Have disconnected the a/c.What should I check next?

If you are certain that the blend doors are operating correctly (meaning that they are changing position properly and not binding, then you would probably want to verify proper coolant flow thru the heater core. Restricted flow due to a clogged core can reduce heat output significantly. At operating temperature feel the hoses leading into and out of the heater core at the firewall. If the return hose is noticeably cooler than the inlet hose, you could have a restriction.

Where is blower fan fuse what numbers

Blower fan fuse is typically shown as heater fuse on the fuse panel either inside car fuse panel or the panel under the hood. If after replacing fuse it still not working. Then the heater motor may need replaced.

2003 Jeep Liberty Heater blows warm when it is not real cold outside. Does not blow hot when it is cold outside.

Possible head gasket leak.

Check temp range adjuster on dash, may be worn and need replaced.

Heater core may be bad., Have checked by dealer or qualified service center.

Blowing cold air instead of heat

i can think of two possible causes 1 very serious the other no cause for concern just uncomfortable in winter time. the first and most serious is that your radiator is out of water. your heater circulates engine coolant thru your engine and heater core from your cooling system for your engine. if no water there isnt anything to flow thru engine so no heat. simple enough if this is the case you probably have a good leak somewhere in your cooling system ie hose or water pump or radiator its self. the second possibility is that if car is used and or there has been work done on the car then probably the heayer core has been bypassed the reason for doing this is because the heater core is located deep inside the dashboard and in- side of fire wall. part is cheap but labor hours are long and expensive usually around 5 hours at $88.+ an hour it is just cheaper to undo the radiator hose that flows coolant from your engine into the heater core and bypass the hose to just flow straight back in to the engine. this will keep engine from overheating and make your heater blow straight outside or vent air. btw if you have a leak in cooling system get repaired asap obviously over heating will cause catastrophic engine failure. hope this help

Toyota 08600-00938 Car Stereo serial No. P9B00302

For our Toyota Prado 2001 01, after the battery had been removed SEC was showing on the cd / tape / radio display. To remove the security SEC warning, find the last 3 digits of your VIN number (under the hood) hold down the "TUNE" button and then press "1"

Then use the numbers 1 2 and 3 to type in the last 3 digits of your VIN number.

Quickly hold down "SCAN" button, the radio will power off, then press the volume button to turn it back on.

-I accidentally held down "auto" before holding down scan, I don't think auto has any part of fixing this (just an error on my part) but if the above doesn't work, you could try hold AUTO down after entering the digits then hold scan - just as I did.

Hopefully SEC has now been removed, enjoy your radio!

Cd player does not work and cannot unload cds already inserted in

This is common with OEM changers and is the leading reason for upgrading to aftermaket audio can try blowing compressed air into the CD slot, if the problem is dust related this may help.
