Question about JVC KD-AVX2 Car DVD Player

JVC KD-AVX2 new installation will not power up

I just bought a JVC KD-AVX2 I have powered it up before connecting speakers, amp etc. When the constant HOT is connected it makes a clicking sound and the power light dimly flashes When I turn on the Ignition, the flashing stops and the power light shows as if its on, but the clicking continues. With the illumination wire plugged in I have no lights etc. The unit does nothing but the above... Am I missing something or is this unit DOA? Thank You LFM

Parking brake keeps flashing on my kd-avx2 car dvd player

Check to ensure the wire to your parking brake is grounded. You can also set a dead ground on the cable and the head unit will think you have the parking brake enabled at all times.

Remote wire went out

Use the keyed red wire from the back of your unit(this means when the car is on, so is the amp) or use a switch to power it on and off(i don't recomend this because you can accidentally leave it on alllll night long. but it is a solution. If you're radio remote wire went out, check it as soon as it comes out of the unit to see if you have power there, maybe it's cut somewhere along the way. good luck
