Question about Sharp Notevision PG-A10X Multimedia Projector
A purple crack like image appears near the lower left corner. It is not a crack, it looks sort of like a like a bad painting done with the PAINT application of Windows, just so you have an idea, it looks like computer stuff, not a physical problem with the lens. It actually looks like the lines drawn by a sismograph during an earthquake,
What can it be?

SOURCE: paint peeling inside microwave
If the unit has been operating properly for some time with no issues, I would say it is fine to continue to use. The issue I would have would be with the possibility with the paint falling into the food.
It would be interesting for you to call the manufacturers' support line and ask why this is happening. Maybe they will offer you a replacement if it was a manufacturing process defect. Mention that the paint may have fallen into the food.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

1) How is the cavity damaged? Is it just peeling paint, or is it rust? If it's rust then the microwave could be dangerous.
2) The antenna cap usually has a small hole in the centre, but if there are any other holes in it the magnetron itself could be damaged, and holes caused by the magnetrin arcing.

My recommendation is to Reolace the grates w/stainless steel. The paint used on bbq grills is no really a paint. It's more like a very thin powder coating. There are high temp paints available, but the pigment is questionable for food proceeses.

If these lines are white, then they generally are a line of burnt out pixels. There is no home fix for these and I have yet to see a repairman fix this problem. I have seen on occasion where the line gets longer. Its best to start looking for a new replacement or try to live with it until you can't stand it any more.
