I have a Samsung ml-2851ND, the middle paper roller is extremely tight so the paper is not able to pass trough, he geas made a unparticulary sound,. I think overheat caused the problem, but Im not...

If overheat has occoured the bottom roller (black) will likely be fused to the heat roller. if you cannot turn the rollers with the two green levers down (let the unit cool it will be hot) that would confirm this prognosis. check smart panel if you have it installed for any errors and contact support as this sounds like it will need a workshop/ field engineer repair.

'move fric.lever' message. Kindly please explain. Thanks

It is telling you to move the friction lever.
The friction bar holds the paper against the platen roller, it must be in the closed position to advance the paper.

The lever should be to one side of the roller.

Return arm on smith-corona silent typewriter does not advance

The linespace selector lever is probably at zero 0
try moving it to 1 1 1/2 or 2. There is also a detent lever that releases the ratchet of the roller. You should feel a bumping when you move the roller wheel.

Scanner pulls page in to just past the bottom sensor lever

Please ensure that the rollers are clean and within its life span. (Rollers wear out and need to changed after 250,000 pages or as recommended by mfr). FAn the pages before scanning, Ensure the edge is trim with no folds or bends. The griniding noise is because the scanner has picked up more than one page.

Noisey vibration

Dear Rab,

Hope this solves your problem. I understand that you are having problem only on the reversei side tractor feed problem. We have encountered same problem even in different models and brands. Please check the Lever Paper Fed Selector is engaged well, so that the gears give less space clearance to each other. Please check the tractor tray is locked tightly both ends. Please check if the grease on the paper tray and contacting gears are not dried up. Please check also the paper path if there are remains or clogged parts of paper perforation holes. Finally check the flatten (stainless still or hard plastic) paper against the roller if not to tight. You can check manually by turning the paper roller knobs back and forth. But take NOTE: Turn Off the power in doing so, it may destroy the knob. Have a nice day.

Best regards,

Printer performs inverse action when using TOF

If I understand correctly, this TOF action involves moving the paper backwards until the top edge moves past the paper (paper out?) sensor. Perhaps this sensor, either an optical sensor, or mechanical switch is covered up by an extraneous piece of paper, or, if mechanical, stuck or broken. Also the sensor itself might be bad, and not sending the logic circuit a valid signal. This could be checked with a voltmeter or oscilloscope especially if you have an accurate idea of what voltages should be.
