No sound on compaq SR171onx all drivers current

Simply go to your computers manufracturers website and download the drivers from their. If you cannot download them on this machine use your friends machine and put them on a flash drive. Then install them on your mahcine from the flash drive.

I think this is the link that you would need... You wrote model 51s. I am hoping that it is the 510 and the s = small form factor. If so all of your drivers should be o this linked page.

Windows update will often install or update sound drivers. If this doesn't work go to this page and view the help videos towards the bottom of the page. If that doesn't help go to this guide and see if the solution is there. HP provides several different types of solutions. You may also be able to find the realtek driver here at the realtek site. If you install this driver than try Windows update again and see if it gives you an updated driver. Provided you didn't find the driver at Windows Update to begin with.
